Mr. P K Malhotra has forty years of experience in the field of law and has held many important assignments in the Government of India. He was Secretary in the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India; Member, Law Commission of India; Presiding Officer (Offg.) and Member, Securities Appellate Tribunal; Chairman, Adjudicating Authority, Prevention of Money Laundering Act and Judicial Member, Income-tax Appellate Tribunal.

He was involved in processing and finalising many important legislations including Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013, Companies Act, 2013, Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1988, Arbitration & Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2015, Commercial Courts Act, 2015, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, Information Technology Act, 2000, Securities Laws (Amendment) Act. He has handled legal issues pertaining to Constitutional Law, Administrative law, Commercial laws, Cyber laws, alternate dispute resolution including Arbitration and issues relating telecom sector. He has also worked as Arbitrator in large number of cases.

After demitting office as Law Secretary, Mr. Malhotra has started consultancy as an Advocate. He is working as Arbitrator/Conciliator for some Central Public Sector Undertaking. He is also a Visiting Professor at Sharda University, Greater Noida; KIIT University, Bhubneshwar and SGT University, Gurugram. He is also an independent Director on the Board of NCDEX, Mumbai.

 

Mr. Gopal Krishna Agarwal

Shri Gopal Krishna Agarwal is fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI). He is Economic thinker and writes extensively for newspaper, financial journals and delivers lectures in seminars & conferences. He is a Trustee and a Treasurer of India Policy Foundation (IPF) and Dr. Mookherjee Smriti Nyas.

He is Independent Director on the Board of PSU, North Eastern Electric Power Co. (NEEPCO) and Member of Board of Governors at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), a think tank of GoI. He was a member of the Task Force on MSME of the Ministry of Finance and Former Director on the Board of Bank of Baroda. He has initiated various public welfare projects like Jaladhikar Foundation, Nagrik Manch, Shree Ji Gausadan, Milk Cooperative Movement etc.

 

Mr. Ashish Kumar Chauhan

Ashish Kumar Chauhan is the MD and CEO of BSE, Asia’s oldest exchange, World’s fastest exchange with 6 Micro seconds response time, World’s largest exchange with 5,000 plus listed companies and India’s first universal exchange to offer trading across all asset classes. He is credited with reviving BSE and completing its IPO - which was oversubscribed more than 51 times. He was instrumental in setting up India’s first International Exchange, India International exchange, inaugurated by India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in January 2017.

Prior to joining BSE, from 2000 to 2012, Ashish worked at Reliance Industries, India’s largest conglomerate as President and Group CIO, Head of Corporate communications and CEO of Cricket team Mumbai Indians in its formative years. From 1993 to 2000, he setup India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE), primarily on technology, Screen based trading system, satellite communications network, equities and derivatives businesses, and Nifty index amongst his many responsibilities. He is considered the father of modern financial derivatives in India due to his work at NSE. 

 

CS Ranjeet Pandey

(Nominee Director, ICSI IIP & President, ICSI)

A Fellow Member of The Institute of Companies Secretaries of India, a Law Graduate from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi and a Graduate in Science (B.Sc), CS Ranjeet Pandey is also an Insolvency Professional, registered with IBBI and has over 15 years of experience in the field of Corporate and Commercial Laws. An ex-officio member of the Advisory Board of Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Management (SAFIM), CS Pandey has also been a member of the Working Committee of MCA for streamlining ‘Working under the Companies Act, 2013’. He is also a Member of the Steering Committee of National Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (NFCSR) constituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India to prepare a roadmap, oversee the functioning and steer the activities of NFCSR for providing policy inputs and policy advocacy in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

His journey to the Chair began from the Regional Council of NIRC of ICSI wherein he served as a member for two consecutive terms i.e. 2007-2010 and 2011-2014. It was during his able Chairmanship that NIRC received the Best Regional Council Award in 2011. Setting benchmarks and achieving feats he further was elected to the Central Council of ICSI for the terms 2015-2018 and re-elected for the term 2019-2022. During his first term, his membership in Boards like the Secretarial Standards Board (SSB) and designation as Chairman at various Committees including the Golden Jubilee Organising Committee evidently proves his leadership skills as well as his knack for not just corporate laws but allied arenas as well. His role played in the carving of ICSI Vision 2022 too hasbeen well acclaimed.

A firm believer in the significance of quality education, training and continuous training and skill upgradation and above all right amount of motivation in the effective and efficient dispensing off of responsibilities by professionals, CS Ranjeet Pandey is a regular speaker at various seminars, conferences and workshops organized by Banks, Industry Chambers, ICSI and ICAI.

A Company Secretary since 2004, he is a prominent advisor in the area of Corporate Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy, Commercial Contract and Agreements, SEBI and Capital Market matters, Audits, Compliances & Due-diligence of Business.

 

CS Ashish Garg

(Nominee Director, ICSI IIP & Vice President, ICSI)

A Fellow Member of the ICSI, a Post Graduate in Economics (M.A.) and Commerce (M.Com.) and a Graduate in Law (L.LB.) from the Vikram University, Ujjain, CS Ashish Garg was elected to the Central Council of the ICSI for the term 2015-2018 and re-elected for the term 2019-2022.

During his first stint with the Central council, he was the Chairman of Practicing Company Secretaries Committee of the ICSI for the year 2015 and 2016 and it was under his leadership that the PCS Day was celebrated with full gusto on 15th June every year. While holding Chairmanships of the Core Group of GST of ICSI and Centre of Corporate Governance, Research and Training (CCGRT), he was also nominated by the ICSI as a member at the Cost Accounting Standards Board of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

A nominated Director on the Board of ICSI Institute of Insolvency Professionals, he has also chaired several in-house Committees of the ICSI of the likes of Placement Committee, PMQ Committee and Direct Tax Code Committee.

Extremely passionate and driven towards the betterment and growth of the profession, CS Garg has proved his dedication since his days as the Secretary and Vice Chairman of Indore Chapter of the ICSI in 2004 and 2005 and later on as a member of the Western India Regional Council of the ICSI for two consecutive terms from 2007-14 and even further as Secretary, WIRC in 2013 and 2014.

With almost over 18 years of experience and specialization in Corporate Laws, organizational restructuring and corporate legal counseling to companies, he is a sought after faculty at conferences and seminars of CA, CS and MBAs in India and abroad and is zealous when it comes to connecting with and motivating members and students. Having authored number of Articles for magazines and newspapers and extensively travelled across the length and breadth of the India, he feels pleasure in having visited four continents of the Globe and getting a chance of getting acquainted with varied cultures thereat.

 

CS Devendra V Deshpande

CS Devendra V Deshpande, is a Post Graduate in Commerce (M. Com.) from Pune University, Pune and a Fellow Member of the Institute of the Company Secretaries of India (FCS). He has been elected to the Central Council of the ICSI for the term 2019 - 2022. He is the Chairman of Information technology Committee of the ICSI for the year 2019 and member of various committees Constituted by ICSI including Executive Committee, Corporate Laws and Governance Committee, Training & Educational Facilities Committee, Placement Committee, PMQ Course Committee, Election Reforms Committee and International Affairs Committee for the year 2019.

CS Devendra V Deshpande is actively associated with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) since 2004. He was elected to the Western India Regional Council and was member of Regional Council for the term 2015 - 18. In the year 2013 he served as Chairman of Pune Chapter of WIRC of ICSI and he was an active Managing Committee member for the period from 2007 - 2014.

He was a member of Corporate Law Committee of Marahtta Chamber of Commerce and Industries Association in the year 2013. He was invited as an expert on panel of syllabus restructuring of MIT World Peace University, Pune. 

He has delivered sessions and lectures at various seminars and conferences of various chapters and Regions of Institute Of Company Secretaries of India, and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Cost Accountants of India and various Corporate Houses. He has been a guest lecturer at Crime Investigation Department, Economic Affairs Wings, Government of Maharashtra.

He is in practice since 2004 and having area of practice in the fields of Corporate Laws, Foreign Exchange Laws, Audits under Company Law and allied laws, Secretarial Audits of Listed and Unlisted entities under Companies Act, 2013,  advisory in Corporate Restructuring and creation of Secretarial Data Rooms as a Compliance Module for Multinational Companies.
